901 Navajo Project

NAHC is collaborating with Mercy Housing, Denver Indian Health and Family Services (DIHFS), and WellPower to develop 196 units of affordable and supportive housing co-located with a health clinic at 901 Navajo Street in Denver. This first of its kind housing and integrated healthcare community will also offer trauma-informed case management support and a myriad of culturally responsible resident enrichment programming. Completion of the project is expected in the fall of 2026.

901 Navajo will offer 94 permanent supportive housing units for unhoused individuals and families and 96 apartments for low-income families. The 94 supportive housing units have a Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) contract with the Colorado Division of Housing and/or the City and County of Denver Office of Housing Stability (HOST. The remaining 96 units are governed by the IRS Section 42 Tax Credit Program, as well as income restriction agreements/covenants with the City and County of Denver Department of Real Estate and Department of Housing Stability and the State of Colorado Housing Development Grant.

The project also offers a Federally Qualified Health Center directed by Denver Indian Health and Family Services. The new clinic will allow DIHFS to greatly expand its mission and capacity. The Health Center with approximately. 18,000 square feet of primary medical, dental, vision, and behavioral healthcare. Onsite resident services will include case management, housing stability, health and wellness, financial literacy, job readiness, youth services, and culturally responsive programming. The complex will also feature residential courtyard, community spaces, playgrounds, fitness center, and community gardens.
